Ein Glück, dass ich mein Ticket schon gezogen habe. Das schreibt Panos im Parker Forum zum Leoville Poyferre 1990 und bekommt dafür viel Beifall:
Over dinner with some wine friends last night. We had a lovely VCC 1988 and a Dow 1985, both fine wines. But what stole the show was a spectacular Leoville Poyferre 1990, with complex aromatics of truffle, licorice, pencil shavings - very distinct - and iodine. These beguiling aromas were matched by a very rich yet poised palate, very far from bigger wines made today, and yet fuller bodied than the 1982 I had tried with Didier Cuvelier over lunch September last in Bordeaux. Many thanks to Chris Bublitz for sharing his bottle, which he calls the best post World War II bottle of Leoville Poyferre.... Having tasted it, I can agree. But we shall see how the 2000 (and 2003, 2005 and 2009) will taste in their later years.
Grüße,
